Personal Information

Privacy Notice

Shine Bright Proprietary Limited is responsible for the personal information it processes in connection with this website and its business enquiries. This notice explains our approach under Botswana's applicable data-protection and electronic-communications laws.

Information we process

Website enquiry form: entries made in the contact area remain in your browser until you choose WhatsApp or Email. The website does not independently submit or store those entries on a Shine Bright server.

Why we process information

We process information to respond to enquiries, recommend and quote for solutions, fulfil agreements, provide support, maintain business records, secure our systems, comply with legal obligations and pursue legitimate business interests that do not override your rights.

Sharing and international processing

We only share information where reasonably necessary with service providers, product suppliers, delivery or support partners, professional advisers, regulators or authorities. Our website infrastructure, email and messaging providers may process information outside Botswana. We assess service providers and apply appropriate contractual, organisational and security safeguards where required.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, applicable warranty or support periods, legal obligations, dispute management and legitimate recordkeeping. We use proportionate access controls, authentication, system security and staff procedures to protect information.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or objection to the processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or a valid business obligation.

Contact and complaints

Send privacy requests to info@shinebright.co.bw with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may also raise an unresolved concern with Botswana's competent data-protection authority.

Website Use

Website Terms

These terms apply when you access or use the Shine Bright website. By continuing to use the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.

Information, enquiries and quotations

Regulated equipment and services

Supply, installation and use of some communications or radio equipment may be subject to BOCRA type approval, exemption, licensing, spectrum and repair-service requirements. Availability is subject to applicable Botswana law and regulatory requirements. Any regulated cybersecurity service will only be offered within the scope permitted by applicable law and authorisation.

Acceptable use and intellectual property

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or use its content unlawfully. Website text, design, graphics and Shine Bright branding are owned by or licensed to Shine Bright. Third-party product names, trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

Third-party services

Links to WhatsApp, social platforms, brand websites and other external services are provided for convenience. Their operation, availability and privacy practices are controlled by their respective providers.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every item of general information is complete at all times. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Botswana law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana. Concerns should first be raised with Shine Bright so that we can attempt to resolve them promptly.

Website Technology

Cookie Notice

This website does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking pixels or non-essential analytics cookies. Our infrastructure provider may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technical measures to provide security, prevent abuse, route traffic and maintain reliable service.

Because the current website uses only essential infrastructure and security functions, a non-essential cookie-consent banner is not presently displayed.

If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential technologies, we will update this notice and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before using them.

Consumer Information

Customer Care & Complaints Policy

Shine Bright aims to provide clear information, suitable products, quality service and dependable support. We handle customer concerns fairly and in accordance with Botswana's Consumer Protection Act and other applicable laws.

Before supply or deployment

Our quotation or agreement will confirm the selected products or services, quantities, pricing, taxes where applicable, delivery expectations, installation scope, dependencies, exclusions, payment terms and available warranty or support arrangements.

Warranties, returns and remedies

Warranty and return conditions may differ by product, supplier and order type and will be communicated before supply. These conditions do not remove any mandatory consumer rights or remedies under Botswana law. Customers should retain proof of purchase and promptly report a fault with the product model, serial number and a clear description of the issue.

Complaints process

  1. Email info@shinebright.co.bw with the subject “Customer complaint”, or contact us through the website.
  2. Include your name, contact details, quotation or invoice reference, relevant dates and the outcome requested.
  3. We will acknowledge the concern, investigate it, request further information where necessary and communicate the proposed resolution.
  4. If a matter cannot be resolved directly, you may refer it to the appropriate Botswana regulator or dispute-resolution body, including the Competition and Consumer Authority where applicable.
